President Donald Trump’s proclamation is not wholly supported in the land of ‘’human rights’’, particularly by Democrats in the US Congress. But there has to be substantial compliance with his administration’s demand for measures to improve as demanded. We shouldn’t be in that category of nations. I am being sentimental as a patriot. But they know what is not known to me. Peace connotes the peaceful and harmonious coexistence of the various peoples of the world.  National security watchers have argued that people and nations all over the world have a vested interest in peace in order to carry on their economic relations. John Spanier, in his publication: ‘American Foreign Policy since World War II’, submits that “war impoverishes and destroys and creates ill-will among nations. Commerce, however, benefits all the participating states; the more trade, the greater the number of individual interests involved.”  Conflicts and threats to peace that result in violent disturbances occur all over the world but in varying degrees. Widespread, international terrorism must be viewed as criminal motives that must be halted in the interest of humanity. The whole world must be proactive in stemming the tide of constant spectre of violence which is not restricted to any part of the globe. Nigeria is a great country whose citizens are well-behaved and the country has a critical role in shaping a new global agenda. It is hoped that it would not be too long for President Donald Trump to remove Nigeria from that category of nations. No system can be totally perfect.
