Engineer, Politician, Polygot, Diplomat & the World’s No 1 Public Servant                Role Modelling is described as ‘’a process that allows students to learn new behaviours without the trial and error of doing things for themselves (Bandura, 1977). It is a form of learning from experience that uses humanist and social learning theories (Rogers, 1983). A key feature is the experience learners bring to a situation.  Elsewhere, a role model is described as a person whose behaviour, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people. Role Models are people whose ways of life could be emulated. They are not available in sufficient quantities. Our youths require them all over the world to take over leadership at the appointment time. They could be found in all spheres of human activity. Their legacies tell stories that would remain in public domain, perhaps eternity because of the positive impacts of their deeds. It is indeed interesting that world leaders in the Western world like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama regard Nelson Mandela, a citizen of the poorest continent in the world as a role model. It is about selflessness and looking for the common good. The current United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres is a Role Model.  He stands tall in a community of patriots combating issues that could make the world a better place to live in. Guterres is leading the United Nations to combat Inequality, poverty, issues confronting the development of women, and peace.  Another notable information is that the Secretary-General is an Engineer, who graduated from the Instituto Superior Técnico with a degree in engineering. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. His profile as documented by the United Nations indicates that  he is married to Catarina de Almeida Vaz Pinto, Deputy Mayor for Culture of Lisbon, and has two children, a stepson and three grandchildren. António Guterres, the ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations, took office on 1st January 2017.
