It can lift to the height of success and also bring down to the valley of failure and shame. Good character builds and promotes, while bad character destroys. No one should neglect any flaw in his or her character’’ (D.K Olukoya) One common feature of reforms is that they are directed at effecting positive and radical changes in the system; and may not be too much; no matter the level infused into a system. The rots in societies all over the world brought about by modernization make it imperative for the adoption of communicative strategies; and dedicated implementation of Strategic Plans of Action, as well as information sharing, for the emergence of a more prosperous polity, utilizing family units and family values. GOVERNMENTS alone cannot bring about the desired REFORMS that we so much require to transform our society. It is the obligation that all of us, citizens, old and young; men and women ow Nigeria, our dear nation. We must strive to create and also support institutional reforms in the patriotic task of building a healthy Nigeria. Individual may never achieve much on their own. But together, a nation or even the whole world is able to succeed by the special grace and mercy of the Creator. This is why the Lord asks in clear and unmistakable terms in Amos 3:3 that: ‘’Can two walk together, except they be agreed?’’ The absolute precondition for growth by any well-meaning society must be peace, security, welfare of the citizenry, prayers, and long-range planning that takes into adequate consideration the growth of the young ones. PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE: Cynics and skeptics never saw hope in the ‘’wonders’’ that Gustave Eiffel planned to do in France centuries ago. Without wavering, his company designed and built the popular EIFFEL TOWERS that is today the most-visited paid monument in the world; with about seven (7) million people ascending the tower in 2015 alone. I marvelled when I first got on the tower, when I joined Emeritus Prof. Michael Omolewa, then Nigeria’s ambassador to UNESCO on top of that tower for several days in a Diplomatic assignment involving Nigeria through which God arranged my participation.
