PROVERB 22: 8 states that: ‘’Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it’’ Many people achieve distinction and reach great heights in life through notable contributions; some to the arts, others as teachers or leaders in some other professions. It is encouraging to ascribe greatness to those who have achieved or contributed in some special way to the world in which we live, or those whose works and lives have marked them out as trailblazers, icons or legends. These are the persons who have not only lived, but who have also made a difference in one way or another. TAKING THE DECISION:  Where one is confronted with beautiful choices, there is always the problem of picking the relevant and best. There are many outstanding choices. But we just must settle for one. We wore our thinking cap and sat in our thinking corner for several hours yesterday, before taking this decision to feature the family of Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, OFR; a respected voice and by all measurable standards, an achiever, to open our campaign on FAMILY VALUES.  There were several alternatives that came up. Somehow, we settled for this piece.  Before going further, I must be gender sensitive, by stating the obvious that Chief Wole Olanipekun is married to ERELU MOLARA OLANIPEKUN, a pivot in the family. He doesn’t know about this publication but we are sure he would nod his head in agreement as a humanist; and because it is for common good and is in public interest. THE PILLAR: Mrs. Molara Olanipekun will be credited with the roles of a mother, wife, grandmother and backbone of the family of five lawyers (and she is the only member of the family that is ‘’not learned’’ in the family of the activist, Lawyer, and humanist. Their four children are Lawyers in a row. Beyond that, two of the lawyers are Senior Advocates of Nigeria, feats achieved at the prime of the ages. The first son, Dr. Oladapo Olanipekun attained the status of SAN 13 years after being called to the Bar.. His junior brother, Olabode Olanipekun also attained the status of SAN only last year at the record age of 35 years.  For the records, Wole Olanipekun was called to the bar in July 1976 and attained the rank of Senior Advocate at the age of 40…
