First is the likelihood of some sympathisers of the personality affected taking to the streets and desecrating the hallowed chambers of the legislature as it happened at the Capitol. Next, some operatives within the communications industry would have been branded as ‘’enemies’’ and defending the indefensible would have been stepped up. Thirdly, some scapegoats would have been sighted and opposition parties blamed for instigating communications providers against the head of government. And fourthly, the offices of the telecommunications companies might have been set ablaze by an irate crowd of self-imposed sympathizers. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION & BOUNDARIES OF FREE SPEECH What the United States Congress did after the unimaginable acts of aggression and invasion of that arm of government in Washington DC indicates preference for positive values and attitudes that were put in place since the democratic experiment commenced over 230 years ago in ‘’the Land of Human Rights’’.
