General Overseer Worldwide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor E.A. Adeboye has described Coronavirus as a ‘’noisome pestilence’’ that must be controlled by observance of the government stipulated protocols, adequate precautions including wearing masts and safe distance. However, said Pastor Adeboye, it is still important for people to also do the will of the Lord by observing God’s protocols too.
In his message at Day 4 of the on-going Holy Ghost Congress tagged: ‘’It’s Time to Fly’’ at the Redemption Camp, Mowe, Adeboye said it is possible that statistics of people killed by other deadly ailments could be near or more than the figures claimed so far by Coronavirus; hence the description as a noisome pestilence.
The General Overseer said ‘’after abiding by all regulations, you still require a God you canot see to fight Coronavirus that you cannot see’’ He, therefore, called on people to embrace God fully to be able to enjoy His privileges that include the promise of the Creator contained in the Bible that ‘’no evil shall come your way if you do the will of God at all times’’
He recalled an occasion several years ago when some aggrieved security personnel planned to bomb the RCCG at Ebute-Metta, Lagos but God cause two of the tyres of their vehicle to be deflated on the day of the planned attack, thus frustrating their efforts. Quoting Isaiah 54: 15, ‘’Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake’’ Adeboye reminded the gathering and participants all over the world that it is dangerous to fight anybody who belongs to God.
